| Why a pool shelter? | |
Answer: to create a safe living space |
Answer: no, different models suit different uses. |
Answer:The quality varies according to the product, as shelters are very different depending on whether they are installed in valleys, in cold areas (snow, frost) or in windy areas. There are standard products and customised products. But in all cases, a survey is essential as every pool and every site is different. |
Answer: A pool shelter profession charter already exists. This charter, drawn up by the FPP (Fédération des Professionnels de la Piscine –Federation of Pool Professionals), is the only guarantee of of product quality. There are basic and non expensive products primarily intended for use in second homes and other products that withstand intensive use or extreme conditions. |

Answer: There are dealers, fitters and manufacturers. Fitting is an activity in its own right, governed by specific good practice rules. A manufacturer has a financial base, a full legal structure and is required to insure all aspects of its activities, to guarantee the availability of spare parts for a minimum of 10 years and to implement a long term investment policy. Fitters buy products to sell them on but only declare their fitting activity in principal. Dealers should not carry out fitting as they are not qualified to do so (insurance, standards…). It’s easy to know who is who by consulting the companies register on a specialised site: the NAF code of the company differentiates dealers from manufacturers.
